A Heartfelt Letter to Our Staff

All of us at Golden Years are so humbled to receive a letter like this from a recent family. It touches our hearts to feel the true impact our care has on residents and families alike. We know that finding a long-term care facility or rehabilitation center can be difficult, and we thank you for entrusting us with your care.

Dear Kyra and Golden Years staff,

I can't thank you all enough for the kindness you showed to my family these past few months, but especially the loving care provided to my mother, Letty. From the moment she arrived at Golden Years, my mom felt more at peace than she had in a very long time. Although it was hard for her to process the idea that she would never be returning home, she knew that she was loved by everyone at the nursing home. To the Nurses who took special care of her, the Aides who tended to her every need, and everyone in the administration who processed all the paperwork and helped with insurance, and even expedited my family leave paperwork, thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

As a daughter who lives out of town, I felt constantly reassured about my mom's care, thanks to the consistent communication from the Nurses and their warmth and compassion while we were on the phone, and while I visited in person. The last week of Mom's life was so difficult but you all came around my mom and my family and lifted us up with your smiles and devotion to her care and comfort. What would have been an isolating and lonely time ended up being filled with so many blessings. I believe you all are angels and have been given a special assignment by God to help people in their darkest hours. Thank you for answering the call and rising to the occasion. I pray that God richly blesses each and every one of you.
